MY PASSION FOR TEACHING:
I've always enjoyed guiding people through learning, exploration, growth, change and progress. Still during my university studies I started teaching for language schools in-company courses. Later on, I spent a year teaching at secondary school. Following seven years I was a lecturer at a university teaching students of bachelor programme English for Business Administration mostly. During that time I had a chance to teach and present my view of English language teaching methodology at faculties and conferences in many countries. I also translated and published two books about my other passion and started working as a freelancer in the area of tourism so that I can grow in the field of exploring and promoting fair, slow and quality destinations and digging deeper into the Soul and Spirit of the destinations which I find worth sharing with my clients. And so in past few years I used the languages I speak (Native: Czech, Fluent and professional: English, Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, German; Basic knowledge: Russian, Latin, etc.) much more in providing services in tourism rather than in the academia. And now it's time to merge teaching and amazing venues and experiences in ONE!
MY WORK EXPERIENCE
I spent 12+ years teaching English, business English, presentation skills and cross-cultural communication at language schools, in companies. I gained experience teaching primary, secondary and tertiary education courses. I also enjoyed teaching 55+ courses. In 2017, however, I decided to leave my promising position at university and moved to Croatia with my son. In past 6 years, I gained valuable experience in tourism as a guide, representative, tour organizer not only in Croatia but also Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sardinia. I also translated and published two books about Bosnia and Hercegovna: Kniha Bosna a Hercegovina. In 2020, I founded my own travel agency Roses & Grapes which promotes quality, fair and slow tourism, and aims at providing special experiences which are life-chaging. The idea is to provide to my customers a less tourstic and more authentic experience which is fully aligned with the local culture and people. One which will relax you, recharge you and provide you with inspiraton.
